13 December 2006The IPED as "Employment Fair Play" partnership leader signed the agreement with Cooperation Fund for action 3. Project lasts since June 1st 2007 up to March 31st 2008, will be executed within CI EQUAL and is co-financed by European Social Fund. Apart of IPED our partnership consists of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Polish-American Advisory Foundation for Small Enterprises.
11 December 2006Seminar: "Implemetation of ethical standards in Polish legislation".
A seminar "Implementation of ethical standards in Polish legislation procedures" was organized in Bristol Hotel, Warsaw. During the seminar which is a part of a project entitled "Building Fair Legislation Practices - Closing Space for Corruption in Business Operations" co-financed by the European Commission, Directorate - General Justice, Freedom and Security (agreement no. JLS/NGO/2004/058-30-CE-0043190/00-38) were presented i.a. best legislation practices in selected OECD countries and "Code of Fair Legislation Practices" created by Institute for Private Enterprise and Democracy in cooperation with Institute of Business Ethics in London.
8 December 2006Final gala of the IXth edition of the "Business Fair Play" program was held in the Congress Hall of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.
29 September 20065th Grand Gala of the "Community Fair Play" Competition was taking place in Concert Hall of Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw on 29th of September 2006. During gala were announced the official results of the 5 edition. Those communities which successfully came through both stages of the competition were handed in awards, Honorary Awards and also "Community Fair Play - Certified Investment Location" Certificates.
29 June 2006Conference "Strategies of Tax Competition and Harmonization in Enlarged European Union"
Conference about "Strategies of Tax Competition and Harmonization in Enlarged European Union" was held in the Polish Chamber of Commerce on 29th June 2006. It was organized within project supported by CERGE-EI and Charles University in Prague.
The main goal of this conference was to present the results of research and economic simulations in range of putting into practice different strategies of tax competition and harmonization in Enlarged European Union and to discuss the best tax strategy for Poland. In particular, presentation included simulations of different tax politics impact into economic growth rate in Central Europe. Our research show that it is possible to create tax competition and harmonization politics in such way, that its final result could be more profitable to economic growth rate, than it is now. It is needed to acquire highly competitive tax system to reach faster growth of Gross Domestic Product.

Second seminar on "Human resources responsible management - Are entrepreneurs ready for self-regulation and is it profitable for them?" was held in Private School of Business and Administration Conference Centre, Warsaw on 26-27th April 2006. This seminar was organized as a part of Action 2 of "Employment Fair Play. Promotion of Business Culture and Labour Market Ethics" project, realized with use of European Social Fund within Partnership Initiative EQUAL. Participation in seminar is free of charge.
